
Sean McGinley | Head Coach (Sprints)
Coach McGinley is starting his 21st season at Bishop Chatard and his 18th year as head coach. He has been nominated as a finalist for IATCCC Coach of the Year on 18 occasions. In 2024, 2023, 2022 and 2012 he was awarded the IATCCC Coach of the Year. Coach McGinley is a graduate of Cathedral High School and was a member of the state championship 4 x 400 relay team in 1998. He continued his running career at Wabash College and received a bachelor of liberal arts education from Wabash in 2002. Sean is the Director of Operations at Cork Medical.

Kevin King | Throws
Coach King will be working with the throwers for his 13th season at Bishop Chatard and he has spent 40 years coaching a combination of football, wrestling and track. He has spent time at Bishop Chatard, Center Grove, Lawrence North and Bloomington South. Kevin was a IHSAA state champion in wrestling and the discus. His wife Joan is a teacher and has 2 children (Vincent and Emily).

Dan Kinghorn | Distance
Coach Kinghorn is starting his 30thth track and field season at Bishop Chatard. He is the head boys and girls CC coach. During his tenure at Bishop Chatard, Coach Kinghorn has earned 20 City Coach of the year awards in track & CC and was the 2005 IATCCC State CC Coach of the Year.

Josh Schaffner | Sprints
Coach Schaffner is in his seventh year with the Bishop Chatard Track and Field program working with the sprinters. Prior to being at Bishop Chatard, Coach Schaffner was a head coach at Scecina Memorial High School and spent one year at Roncalli. Schaffner is also a theology teacher at BCHS. Coach Schaffner is a 2009 graduate of the University of Notre Dame (MA) and a 2006 graduate of Baylor University. He is married to BCHS teacher Katie Schaffner and they have two sons (John and George).

Sandy Sledge | Pole Vault
at Marian University where she placed 8th in Nationals her season season and still holds the school record in pole vault. Sandy is
current a Client Success Manager @ Realync and has been involved in club track since she graduated college.

Monique Ware | Long Jump
Monique graduated from Bishop Chatard where she placed 6th in the 2005 state meet and currently holds the long jump school record. In college, Monique qualified for both the indoor and outdoor nationals NAIA championships and currently holds the school record in both events. After graduating from Marian, she spent 4 seasons as the Bishop Chatard Long Jump coach and then coached the jumpers at Marian University for 5 seasons. Monique is Executive Director of Financial Aid @ Ivy Tech.
